Classroom Tales

Original and adapted interactive stories for the KS1 classroom

Jack & the Beanstalk

A familiar tale with a twist! Jack and his Mum are hungry, and the Giant has plenty to share. What if the Giant at the top of the beanstalk was just lonely? Is there a way he and Jack could become friends?

Take Away: A mini bag of jellybeans.

A Pirate’s Tale

A treasure hunt story and the clues are all hiding in the classroom! A fully interactive adventure to recover the stolen treasure, just don’t wake the sleeping pirate!

Take Away: A Gold pirate coin

The Selfish Giant

An adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s classic tale. When the giant returns home to find his castle garden overrun with pesky children, he builds a wall to keep them out.  A timely tale of inclusion and the importance of play.

Take Away: A paper flower.

All in a Walthamstow Day

A fun audience-led adventure through the routines of the day, including silly songs about breakfast and tying your shoes! Great for Reception and year 1. I encourage you to share any classroom routines you’d like them to get the hang of for me to include. Place name interchangeable!

Take Away: A ‘We did it!’ adventure successfully completed scroll.

All story times are approx 45 minutes plus time to chat and ask questions.

Workshop activities or a poetry lucky dip are also available
These are a few of the stories I have already told to hundreds of children, if you have a theme or an idea, let me know and I will adapt or write a new story to share with your class.
